SHAH ALAM, Sept 23 — Six areas in Shah Alam experienced unscheduled water supply disruption following a burst pipe at Persiaran Perusahaan in Section 13, here.
The areas affected are Section 18, Section 19, Section 20, Section 23, Section 24 and Section 25 in Shah Alam.
Air Selangor’s Corporate Communications said water supply will be suspended at 10pm tonight to ensure that the emergency repair work runs smoothly.
“The water supply will be distributed in stages once the repair work is completed, and is expected to fully recover at 12:00 pm, 24 September 2021,” it said in a statement.
Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals.
“Consumers are required to adhere to physical distancing, and to wear face masks while collecting water supply from water tankers.
“We would like to advise affected consumers to store adequate amounts of water and use it prudently during this unscheduled water supply disruption period,” said Air Selangor.
Consumers can refer to all official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.
