Medical sector main focus as SIBS to be held hybridly

SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 — The Selangor International Business Summit 2029 (SIBS 2021) will be held hybridly starting from November 18 until 21, said the Menteri Besar.

Citing a news report from Astro Awani, Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the annual event which focuses on vaccination issues, senior citizens welfare and digital health, will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and will run virtually at the Selangor Business Hub.

He said the Selangor International Expo (Medic) will be the main event to assemble medical and diagnostic equipment suppliers, healthcare providers, and will feature various promotions and the latest updates on health services from participating pharmacies and hospitals.

Amirudin added that as for the inaugural event of the Selangor Industrial Park Expo (Spark 2021), the platform will be a meeting point for planned industrial park developers, with the official launch of the Managed Industrial Park Standard Guidelines book also expected to take place during the event.

He said there will also be four other main components of the event, namely the Selangor International Expo (Food and Beverages), the Asean Selangor Business Summit (SABC), the Selangor Digital Economy and Smart Town Summit (SDEC) and the Selangor Research and Innovation Expo (SRIE).

Selangor becomes the first state to organise the virtual event of SIBS 2020 which took place on October 14-17 last year, where the main industry players also participated.

Amirudin said the conference was a platform for key local and international industry players to share ideas, especially to conduct business in the new norm.
