Schools get boost in repair funds from MBI

SHAH ALAM, Oct 2 — Two schools in the state have received RM60,000 in funds from Menteri Besar (Incorporated) or MBI, to conduct repairs on their facilities.

The aid was handed to SRA Integrasi Bandar Baru dan SRA Bandar Melawati by people’s representative Juwairiya Zulkifli, in order to restore their respective school’s infrastructure.

SRA Bandar Melawati received RM10,000, while SRA Integrasi Bandar Baru received RM50,000.

On September 22, MBI announced an RM30 million allocation for the purpose of a variety of beneficial programmes throughout the year, with RM20 million spent as of this September.

Among the programmes carried out include Data Internet Selangor, the Tuisyen Rakyat Selangor programme, and the RM20 transportation rebate for vaccination centres.

MBI is also set to distribute aid as part of the Back to School programme at the end of the year, asides from contributions in conjunction with Deepavali and Christmas.
