SHAH ALAM, Oct 15 — Over 2,000 individuals have joined the Selangor Indian Entrepreneur Development (Sitham) programme so far, said the exco of entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail.

She said the participants are involved in four aspects, including entrepreneur development training, skills and manufacturing courses, business guidance, and business equipment assistance.

“We opened it for new registrations in March via online, and received over 700 applications. The selection was made as soon as possible, since the programme can fill job opportunities and open up business fields, either on an individual basis or among the participants,” Rodziah said.

She was speaking at the handover ceremony of appreciation certificates and business equipment assistance at the foyer of the State Secretariat Building earlier today.

Sitham was launched in September 2019, and focuses on Indian entrepreneurs who are committed to developing their own businesses, with guidance, grants, and the necessary equipment.
