#Selangor2022: Mental health services get support

By Alang Bendahara

SHAH ALAM, Nov 26 — Mental health programmes in the state continue to receive support under the 2022 Selangor Budget (#Selangor2022), said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the state government will continue its support for the Selangor Mental Health Programme (Sehat), which was recently integrated into the SELangkah mobile app.

“Through the Sehat function in the SELangkah app, users can perform an initial screening test to find out the state of their mental health. To ensure the continuity of this initiative, RM1 million has been allocated for the mission of mental health management in 2022.

“Additionally this mental health programme is also improved, with the state government providing special incentives for patients who need further treatment with either clinical counsellors or psychiatrists,” Amirudin said while tabling the 2022 Selangor Budget at the Selangor Legislative Assembly here, today.

Meanwhile, the Menteri Besar said the state public health sector will also receive a digitalisation boost next year.

“This year the state government takes a step forward by implementing the digitalisation of the health system, involving all public health initiatives.

“From 2022 onwards, all health services and initiatives under the state government can be accessed online through the SELangkah app, guaranteeing a more systematic and effective way to control and coordinate matters,” he said.

To that end, another RM1 million will be allocated for next year.
