PETALING JAYA, Jan 11 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari paid a visit earlier today to the family of Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) staff Mohd Ikram Bakri, who died while helping to clean a flood-affected home on January 5.

Amirudin arrived at the house of the MBSJ Health Department public health assistant in Taman Indah Jaya here at 1pm.

He handed over a donation to Mohd Ikram’s widow Noradilah Abd Kadir, 36, who is seven months pregnant with the couple’s first child since they got married in 2011.

Amirudin said he expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased, and thanked them for his sacrifice in helping flood victims.

“I also presented the contribution from Menteri Besar’s Office, and I believe MBSJ has certain schemes and facilities that will be provided for the family based on his years in service,” he said.

Mohd Ikram, 39, died of a heart attack while cleaning a flood-affected house in Kampung Bukit Lanchong, Subang Jaya.
