Flood situation in Kelantan, Terengganu continues to improve

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 — The number of flood victims in Terengganu and Kelantan has dropped, with 4,308 people still at relief centres (PPS) tonight compared with 5,831 this afternoon.

In Terengganu, 993 people from 297 families were housed at five PPS in Hulu Terengganu as of 8pm, compared with 1,952 people from 563 families at 2 pm.

The Drainage and Irrigation Department (JPS) website reported that no rivers were above the danger levels.

In Kelantan, the number of evacuees dropped to 3,308 people from 1,022 families at 10 PPS in Pasir Mas and Tumpat districts as of 7pm, compared with 3,879 people from 1,218 families this afternoon.

The JPS website reported that all major rivers in Kelantan were now at the normal levels.
