Last round of state Aidilfitri open houses today in Petaling, Klang

SHAH ALAM, May 21 — Members of the public are invited to the final Selangor Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house which will take place in Petaling and Klang today.

The open house in Petaling will be held at Padang Awam MBSJ Puchong Indah from 2.30pm in the afternoon to 5.30pm in the evening.

Klang’s open house will take place at Dataran Kompleks Sukan Pandamaran from 8pm to 11pm.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and his wife Datin Seri Masdiana Muhammad will be present at both open houses to bring festive cheer and provide duit raya contributions to children.

The state-wide open houses have been held for a week in nine districts until May 21 to bring about a celebratory mood for the public after two years of being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The inaugural open house, a three-hour event at Dewan Serbaguna dan Kompleks Sukan Daerah Hulu Selangor, was held on May 15 and was attended by 5,000 people.

The following day an open house held at the Taman Melawati Ramadan bazaar site in Gombak saw 10,000 attendees.

On May 17, an open house was held at the Bandar Baru Bangi community business site in Hulu Langat, followed by BBST Walk in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang on May 18.

The open houses which were attended by people of all races were subsequently held on the grounds of Stadium Jugra in Banting on the same day, followed by one at the Bandar Melawati bus terminal in Kuala Selangor and the grounds of Stadium Sungai Besar in Sabak Bernam yesterday.
