SHAH ALAM, May 12 — The third phase of the Jualan Prihatin Rakyat programme will continue tomorrow with its first location at the Sungai Kandis state constituency.
It will take place in the parking lot of Masjid Al Bakri Bukit Naga from 9am to 12pm, to help residents obtain daily necessities throughout the month of Syawal.
The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) said four main products that will be sold include chicken, fish, beef and eggs in addition to several other goods.
“We will organise the programme more frequently and involve more locations to ensure residents are not burdened when spending,” said its chief executive officer Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi when contacted.
Earlier on, PKPS said the affordable goods programme will be continued after the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations to aid the people in procuring fresh products at affordable prices.
Through the initiative, a standard chicken is sold at RM12 per chicken, fresh beef at RM35 per kg, Grade B eggs for RM10 a carton, as well as mackerel and selayang fish at RM8 per packet.
The state government launched the programme on February 28 and has implemented large-scale sales involving over 20 locations from April 25 to May 1, in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
