GOMBAK, May 17 — The state government is in the midst of setting a new direction covering various sectors through the One Selangor Plan which will be tabled in the next Selangor Legislative State Assembly sitting.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said state development should not only focus on the industrial, manufacturing or services sectors but also explore additional infrastructure for the people to face challenges.

“All plans will be streamlined starting from the economic cluster to the aspiration of becoming a smart state by 2025, which can be finalised and completed in this term,” he said.

He said this during his speech at the Selangor Aidilfitri Open House held at the Taman Melawati Ramadan Bazaar site, here yesterday.

On May 8, Amirudin announced the One Selangor Plan which has been designed to champion people’s socio-economic agenda under the current state administration.

He said it is crucial to formulate the five-year comprehensive plan based on the state government’s experience in handling the Covid-19 pandemic, which had affected various sectors.

The One Selangor Plan is expected to be tabled during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly in July.
