Jelajah Selangor Penyayang the ideal platform to spread info on state govt incentives

SHAH ALAM, June 27 — The Jelajah Selangor Penyayang roadshow held on Sunday at Dataran Pantai Morib in Banting, Hulu Langat, served as a platform for society to further understand the benefits prepared by the state government.

Visitor P Balu said the programme enabled him to know more about the incentives by the state government in helping residents.

“We can also see what has been provided by the state government. Many forms of assistance have since been distributed, all of which are good for the community.

“I hope programmes like this roadshow will be continued in the future. Not only to allow the public to know about information by the state government, but also for its events with many attractive prizes on offer,” he said.

For Chin Siew Mei, she came along with her family to the programme after the recreational activities for children caught their eye.

“I brought my children along to try the games. At the same time, I also learned about a variety of things concerning state government agencies. In addition, I also received many souvenirs after visiting the exhibits,” she said.

Meanwhile, visitor Aznam Bintukiaman said the roadshow programme has enable his mother to obtain assistance more quickly.

“I represented my mother in collecting senior citizens’ aid after being contacted by the state government. The initiative has been very helpful for less-off senior citizens and I hope it will be continued in the future,” he said.

The roadshow was launched on June 19 at Taman Kosas Ampang, after which it was continued in Morib yesterday from 7.30am to 5.30pm.

It will go on at Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor this Saturday, before heading to Dataran Boulevard in Laman Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya on July 16 and at Padang Awam Batu Caves in Gombak on July 31.

Involving the state government’s subsidiary companies, Jelajah Selangor Penyayang prepares a variety of events including performances by artists, aerobics, cooking competitions, flower arrangement, people’s sports, skateboarding, and e-sports.
