State-run job fair met with public enthusiasm as some participants clinch employment

SHAH ALAM, June 11 — The Selangor Mega Job Fair 2022 organised by the state government at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Convention Centre has been met with a positive response from the public.

State executive councillor for young generation development Mohd Khairuddin Othman said as of 11am this morning, over 2,000 individuals have shown up to register, with some of them already finding employment.

“The carnival involves over 100 companies, including NGOs and state government agencies which offer over 20,000 employment opportunities.

“The jobs are offered on all levels from general to executive, including for disable persons,” he said after his visit to the carnival.

Mohd Khairuddin added the programme tomorrow will run from 9am to 5.30pm, and is the first career fair to be held physically following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Among the companies joining in the fair include Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, DHL Express, DRB Hicom Berhad, Giant Malaysia and Malayan Banking Berhad

They also include Media Prima Digital, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (Proton), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Shopee Malaysia, Sport Direct MST Sdn Bhd and Toyota Auto Body Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
