SHAH ALAM, July 18 — A total of 1,186 recipients of the Jom Shopping Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE) in Kampung Tunku can redeem the shopping vouchers beginning today.
Its state assemblyman Lim Yi Wei said that the Kampung Tunku community service centre said that the vouchers can be redeemed until July 20 (Wednesday).
“Applicants who meet the requirements and who were born between May and August are eligible to redeem the vouchers at the centre from 10am to 4pm.
“Then they can shop at the Kelana Jaya Giant Supermarket. Hopefully, the initiative given by the State Government will ease the burden of the recipients to some extent, ”he told SelangorKini.
“The recipients are entitled to shop at the Kelana Jaya Giant Supermarket. Hopefully, the state government’s initiative would help the ease some of their burden,” she told SelangorKini.

The SMUE was introduced more than ten years ago to acknowledge the state’s elderly residents, and each member receives shopping vouchers and death benefits.
The continuation of this year’s programme is allocated RM27.5 million from the Selangor Budget 2022.
