Cooperation forged between SAY, Halal Street United Kingdom over SMIs

SHAH ALAM, July 3 — The Selangor Youth Community (SAY) has worked out a collaboration with Halal Street United Kingdom, to empower small-and medium-industries (SMI) entrepreneurs, especially among youths.

According to the Selangor Royal Office, the signing of the cooperation’s memorandum of understanding (MoU) was held at the Office of the Malaysian High Commissioner in London on June 29.

In a Facebook post, it said the MoU was witnessed by His Highness the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah, who is also SAY’s patron.

“This MoU is an effort and initiative of His Highness Tengku Amir Shah to empower SMI entrepreneurs, especially among youths, in penetrating the United Kingdom and European markets through the Halal Street UK platform,” said the Selangor Royal Office.

In addition to Tengku Amir, the signing was also witnessed by the Malaysian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Zakri Jaafar, and Trade Commissioner in London Megat Iskandar Ahmad Dassilah.
