“Hijrah is always determined to help entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses by providing suitable capital,” Mohd Ridhwan said when contacted.

He added the i-Bisnes scheme received the most response due to its low-interest rate, as low as four per cent if the loan was below RM30,000, in addition to being open throughout the year for all business sectors.

“Loans are also easily approved, as applicants only need to submit a three-month bank statement, as well as a license from the Companies Commission of Malaysia or their local authority.

“Loans below RM5,000 are approved at the branch level, while loans between RM6,000 to RM29,000 are approved at the zone level, and loans between RM30,000 to RM50,000 are approved at the headquarters level,” Mohd Ridhwan said.

The 2022 Selangor Budget allocated RM120 million for the specific purpose of financing entrepreneurs, and creating a new scheme under Hijrah which provides loans of up to RM100,000.

The new schemes include i-Bisnes, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI), Go Digital, i-Lestari, i-Agro and i-Bermusim, all of which are aimed at empowering entrepreneurs in Selangor.
