SHAH ALAM, July 21 — The state government aims to help 10,000 Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah) entrepreneurs get actively involved in selling their products online.

State executive councillor for entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail was confident that it could be achieved through programmes such as the entrepreneur e-class with telecommunication company Maxis.

“Through this class, participants can increase their knowledge of online and digitalisation skills such as digital marketing strategy, photography and photo editing, creative writing and campaign planning.

“The basics and principles of this aspect are very important. It needs to be learned and understood (by entrepreneurs) before starting an online business,” she told SelangorKini.

She is confident that if the course is implemented more frequently, the state’s target of empowering 10,000 Hijrah entrepreneurs with digital skills can be achieved by the end of this year.

“I hope that through the e-classes, the participants can learn and adapt all the information and knowledge received to increase their income from online sales.

“In fact, I understood that this is the first time such a programme is organised in collaboration with Maxis and we are very proud that Selangor was chosen as the first state by the telecommunication company (Maxis) to organise this programme,” she said.

Earlier, Rodziah had officiated the Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah) entrepreneurs e-class programme with Maxis at the Auditorium Dewan Jubli Perak, Selangor State Secretariat Building here.
