Selangor Penyayang roadshow continues in Kuala Selangor tomorrow, focus on health subsector

SHAH ALAM, July 1 — The Selangor Penyayang roadshow will continue at Stadium Utama Kuala Selangor tomorrow, providing many initiatives and interesting activities for the people.

The programme, which runs from 8am to 5.30pm, was enhanced from the previous Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) and will be officiated by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

At the event, Amirudin is scheduled to launch the Selangor Health Programme covering Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS), Bantuan Sihat Selangor (BSS), Selangor Child Nutrition Programme (Asas), the heart treatment scheme and the Peduli Sihat programme for civil servants.

Also scheduled to take place at the event is the handover of Notice 5A as well as special awards for Selangor’s High-Performance Village and Best Village in Kuala Selangor.

The event will feature a number of activities, such as musical performances by artists such as Wany Hasrita and Mr X group, aerobics, a cooking contest, a flower-arrangement competition, community sports competitions, e-sports, and blood donations.

The ISP initiative’s RM350 million allocation is aimed at replacing the Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat programme, as it will benefit a greater number of individuals.

Also included in the event is the Selangor Saring free health screening programme, with a total allocation of RM1.5 million and is expected to benefit 5,000 people especially those in risky groups.

Before this, the same event was held in Taman Kosas in Ampang Jaya, Hulu Langat on June 19 and Dataran Pantai Morib, Kuala Langat on June 25 which saw encouraging feedback.

The programme will continue at Dataran Boulevard, Petaling Jaya on July 23 followed by Padang Awam Batu Caves, Gombak on July 31.
