Team Selangor volunteers help clean houses of Baling flood victims

BALING, July 23 — Fifty-five volunteers from Team Selangor have been deployed to the Baling flood-affected areas to assist in cleaning up the surroundings of the victims’ homes.

Head of Secretariat Syahaizel Keman said the volunteers will be there for two days until today to assist locals in cleaning the exteriors of their homes.

“The volunteers are here to help in cleaning the outside of the houses and collect the residents’ damaged belongings.

“They will travel in buses and pickup trucks and carry with them some essentials to help with the lifting of items,” he told Selangorkini.

A total of 236 individuals from various agencies, including members of Selangor Volunteers (Serve), are involved in the Selangor Penyayang Mission (MSP) to help with the post-flood works.

Forty Team Selangor volunteers also took part in the mission to assist Baling flood victims with cleaning their homes.

The mission brought 33 machinery and 112 tools to ensure the success of the relief effort, including four-wheel drive (4×4) vans, roll-on roll-off (RoRo) vehicles, and tipper trucks.
