Warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain in Kuala Langat until noon

SHAH ALAM, July 12 — The Malaysian Meteorology Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kuala Langat until 12pm today.

In a statement issued at 8.45am today, MetMalaysia said that a similar weather condition will also be experienced in Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, and Pahang (Cameron Highlands)

“The warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour or expected to take place for over an hour.

“Thunderstorms warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it was issued,” the statement read.
