Hijrah Selangor appoints 138 strategic partners to create more entrepreneurs

SHAH ALAM, Aug 8 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor (Hijrah Selangor) has appointed 138 companies as its strategic partners to help produce more entrepreneurs in the state.

Its Corporate Division senior manager Azrul Aziz said through Hijrah Selangor’s transformation plan that was implemented a year ago, Hijrah Selangor has managed to assist over 200 entrepreneurs.

“The plan covers various sectors including retail, agriculture and technology. These leading companies will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to join them, as well as provide training, marketing lessons and guidance.

“As of now, Hijrah Selangor has disbursed over RM6 million to enable our strategic partners to assist entrepreneurs. At the same time this programme will also help to expand the companies’ business,” he told SelangorKini.

Azrul said starting from June, they expanded the incentive by offering it to renowned companies that will make the marketing process easier.

“Having a recognised company onboard will attract more entrepreneurs (to enrol in the programme). So traders, especially those affected by Covid-19, can directly contact Hijrah Selangor to participate in this scheme,” he said.
