Selangor approves housing schemes for singles, newlyweds

KLANG, Oct 1 — The state government has approved the Rumah SelangorKu 3.0 policy that supports single people and newlyweds in  purchasing a home.

State executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail said the starting price of the affordable homes is RM120,000.

“Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari will announce the initiative soon. The policy was set up after taking into account the needs of the said groups.

“At the same time, the state government will also be announcing the housing schemes for civil servants,” she said during the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat programmw at Kampung Kuantan, here today.

Last month, Amirudin said the state government will develop one-bedroom and two-bedroom houses for single individuals and newly-married couples.

Among the locations proposed for the development include Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya, Ampang and Shah Alam.

Meanwhile, commenting on the 2023 Selangor Budget that will be tabled on October 28, Rodziah said the state administration aims to provide 5,000 Rumah SelangorKu under the Skim Sewa Milik Selangor.
