SHAH ALAM, Nov 28 — The Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) is offering RM500 in cash prizes to lucky visitors, in conjunction with the upcoming Selangor International Book Fair (SIBF) 2022.

In a Facebook post yesterday, it said nine lucky draws will be held everyday during the fair, which will run from December 1 to December 11.

“You also stand the opportunity to be one of the nine lucky draw winners of RM500 in cash every day!

“Come join us from December 1 to December 11, 2022, at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Center. Come one, come all,” PPAS said.

The international book event will last 11 days, and will see the participation of foreign book distributors and publishers including the United Kingdom’s Bloomsbury and Wiley, and Indonesia’s Brand Media.

Several international side activities will also take place, like the Selangor International Children’s Contest which will feature speakers from abroad.

Through the fair, participants have the chance to join reading workshops, illustrator clinics, seminars, and obtain guidance from children’s book activists.

PPAS has been organising the Selangor Book Fair over the past 16 years, with this year’s edition the inaugural instance of the SIBF.
