Various interesting programmes by MBSJ for the public next month

SUBANG JAYA, Nov 30 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is organising a number of beneficial programmes for the public this December, including its newest, Tapak Kendera Saji, at Dataran Millennium in SS13.

Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said the programme aims to provide opportunities for micro-entrepreneurs around the city to generate income.

“The opening ceremony for the programme will be held at Dataran Millennium in SS13 on December 2, from 8pm to 10pm, and participating micro-entrepreneurs can promote their menus to the public on that day.

“After that, Tapak Kendera Saji will be open every Monday to Thursday from 5.30pm to 12am, and Friday to Sunday from 5.30pm to 12.30am,” he said during a press conference after the MBSJ Plenary meeting today.

Johary added another programme which will be held is the Health Carnival, in conjunction with the 2022 World AIDS Day, at Taman Tasik Wawasan Puchong on December 3, from 7.30am to 1pm.

He said the programme aims to give exposure and awareness to the ailment and encourage patients to seek treatment.

“There will be a variety of interesting activities that will be carried out too such as zumba, health screening, exhibitions, food stalls, an explorace, a children’s colouring competition, as well as experience-sharing sessions with participants,” he said.

Meanwhile MBSJ will hold the Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya: Car-Free Day at Jalan Kemajuan on December 4, from 7am to 11am.

“This programme is an initiative of MBSJ to achieve the city’s carbon reduction target by providing numerous interesting activities, including a morning food fair, buskers competition, push bike, archery activities and electric car games.

“Members of the public and MBSJ employees are invited to attend and enliven these programmes,” Johary said.
