SHAH ALAM, Dec 6 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has called on the state administration to create a new environment that is in line with the spirit of unity at the current federal level.
He believed efforts were made by leaders of various political groups to close ties and avoid differences.
“Hopefully, our discussions will create a new environment that is aligned with the political changes that have happened in our country, especially after the last general elections (GE15).
“I feel this is the concept that we have been trying to achieve for a long time in the state assembly and the Selangor administration by trying to serve all groups, which includes providing allocations to the oppositions and so forth.
“The experience of facing natural disasters, pandemics and the possibility of economic turmoil next year demands that all parties work together to strengthen relations,” he said in his speech to adjourn the Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting, here today.
Amirudin also expressed his appreciation to all parties, especially the state civil servants who have worked hard to organise this State Legislative Assembly sitting.
“Insya-Allah (God willing), we will have another meeting after this. However, this is the last budget meeting because in June, we will be officially dissolved,” he said.
The Selangor State Legislative Assembly sitting is postponed to a date to be announced later.
