SHAH ALAM, Jan 24 — The community cleaning programme, ‘Keep Clean Dengue’ organised by Team Selangor since early this month has collected some 1,700 kilogrammes (kg) of waste.

Its secretariat head Syahaizel Keman said the waste was collected from three locations around Section 7, here.

“The programme was organised to eradicate dengue in hotspots and to encourage the community in cleaning their residential areas.

“InsyaAllah, the programme will be continued from time to time with the fourth series scheduled to be held on January 29 in Section 7 as well,” he said when contacted.

The volunteers started to organise the community cleaning programme two years ago as a move to create more awareness among the people to take care of the environment.
