KUALA LANGAT, Jan 1 — The Jualan Ehsan Rakyat (JER) affordable basic necessities sales roadshow will continue from January 15 to March, with 11 locations per day compared to nine before.
Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) senior marketing officer Md Fazir Abdul Latif said the company is identifying locations for JER, in addition to arranging its sales schedule.
“As said by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, the programme will continue from January 15 onwards. Previously we usually went to nine locations a day, but InsyaAllah, this time we will add two more locations.
“So the people of Selangor should take this opportunity to purchase a variety of fresh products, including PKPS products,” he said during the year-end JER at Dataran Pantai Batu Laut yesterday.

Md Fazir added the products and the prices on offer will remain as before, apart from the addition of bread products.
“PKPS plans to appoint certain agents in each district to become authorised distributors of JER products, as we are aware before this some residents had a hard time chasing the PKPS lorries which carried out the sales.
On December 14, Amirudin said JER benefitted over two million Selangor residents during its three-month run from September to early December last year.
The first phase of the affordable basic necessities sale involved 693 locations around 56 state constituencies, which recorded some RM16 million in sales value.
JER offers a variety of items including standard chicken at RM10 per pack, fresh solid beef (RM10 per pack), Grade B eggs (RM10 per tray), mackerel fish (RM6 per pack), cooking oil (RM25 per bottle) and 5kg bags of rice (RM10).
Also on sale are dried goods under the Ehsan PKPS brand, including wheat flour, sugar, chili sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce, canned sardines, biscuits, glutinous rice, dry noodles and ground chilies.
