By Shamz Johan

SHAH ALAM, Jan 14 — The proposed upgrades to the Taman Megah morning market’s facilities will be submitted under Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP) this year, said Balakong state assemblyman Wong Siew Ki.

She said among the things that will be focused on in the plan include building a roof and paving potholes around the market.

“I will submit a proposal for the morning market upgrade project this year under PSP. In addition to building a roof, the site’s problem as well as potholes will also be given attention,” Wong said.

She also raised the matter with Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan, who has reacted positively to the proposal.

“The MP has also taken note, and we hope with the positive cooperation of all parties including from the (Kajang Municipal) council members, the market can be upgraded for the comfort of residents,” Wong said.

Earlier this morning, the state assemblyman and MP together with council members, Suzanah Hanim Wong, Khoo Kim Han, and DAP Taman Megah representatives, distributed angpaus and mandarin oranges to traders and visitors at the Taman Megah morning market.
