Entrepreneurs looking to expand advised to apply for Hijrah financing

SHAH ALAM, April 11 — Small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who want to obtain working capital in order to expand their businesses have been advised to apply for Yayasan Hijrah Selangor’s i-Bisnes scheme financing, which can reach up to RM50,000.

It said the scheme can be applied for at mikrokredit.selangor.gov.my, or by contacting the financing officer at Hijrah’s 19 branches.

“Through the i-Bisnes scheme, Hijrah Selangor offers up to RM50,000 in business capital to help small and medium-sized entrepreneurs with convenience, speed, and no-burden eligibility requirements with application documents,” Hijrah said in a Facebook post.

To qualify, applicants must be:

  • A Malaysian citizen.
  • A native or long-time resident of Selangor.
  • Voters in Selangor.
  • Aged between 18 to 65.
  • With a fully-operating business.
  • With a valid licence or business permit.

Alongside i-Bisnes, Hijrah has several other financing schemes, including i-Agro, Zero to Hero, Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDI), Go Digital, i-Lestari, and i-Bermusim.

Since its establishment in 2015, the foundation has channelled an estimated RM749.63 million in business capital via various financing schemes that have since benefitted approximately 57,492 entrepreneurs in Selangor by developing their respective businesses.
