MPAJ collects RM2 mln in parking fees from Jan to April

SHAH ALAM, April 22 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has collected RM2 million in parking fees from areas under its administration, January to April 17 this year.

Council President Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said of the figure, RM838,000 came from the renting of special plots.

“Asides from this, RM88,000 was collected from monthly pass payments and RM78,000 from residents’ monthly passes.

“Meanwhile MPAJ earned RM1 million from online parking ticket collection,” he said during the MPAJ monthly meeting at Menara MPAJ on Thursday (April 20).

Mohd Fauzi added that RM1.1 million has been procured for parking fees, via the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU).

He said the council receives 10 per cent of the collected funds from SSDU.
