Selangor Sultan officiates mosque, breaks fast with Hulu Langat residents

HULU LANGAT, April 7 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj graced a fast-breaking meal with Hulu Langat residents at Masjid At-Taqwa in Bandar Bukit Mahkota, yesterday evening.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by the Tengku of Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin and the Raja Muda og Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.

Sultan Sharafuddin also officiated Masjid At-Taqwa, which has been in operation since December 6, 2018, and is able to accomodate 3,000 congregants at a single time.

Following this, His Royal Highness also presented RM161,000 in Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations 322 asnaf from Hulu Langat, which included 91 fakir, 137 poor, and 24 muallaf.

Sultan Sharafuddin then performed Maghrib, Isyak and tarawih prayers with the asnaf and Hulu Langat residents at the mosque.

Also in attendance was Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, and Hulu Langat District Officer Ani Ahmad.
