MB invites public to Aidilfitri open house in Sabak Bernam this Friday

SHAH ALAM, May 10 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has extended an invitation to members of the public to come by and enjoy the Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house organised by the State Government for the Sabak Bernam district this Friday (May 12).

He said the Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri programme will be held at Dataran Tanah Lesen Parit Baru, from 8pm to 11pm.

“Come on down with friends and family, for the festive season,” Amirudin said in a Facebook post.

The open house for Sabak Bernam will also feature several notable artists including Ezad Lazim and Lan Solo, who will sing to entertain visitors.

37 stalls will serve a wide variety of dishes, including satay, grilled lamb, lemang, rendang, traditional kuih-muih, flavoured cordials, as well as various types of porridge and soup.

Also on offer are prizes of motorcycles and various electrical appliances to lucky visitors, as well as cash prizes for several competitions including karaoke.

Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri, which was held for three days in a row every week during the month of Syawal starting on April 28, took place in Sepang, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Hulu Langat and Petaling.

After Sabak Bernam, it will go on to Padang Awam Bukit Badong in Kuala Selangor tomorrow and will conclude at Uptown Sri Gombak in Gombak on May 14, which will be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Prior to this, Amirudin said the open house roadshow is one of the state government’s initiatives which provides an opportunity for all Selangor residents to meet state leaders.

He added it has been well received by the public, with the state government allocating RM200,000 to make it a success in each district.
