Over 35,000 guests attend Aidilfitri open house with PM in Gombak

GOMBAK, May 14 — The finale of the Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri (JKSA) series in Gombak saw more than 35,000 attendees at the event held at Kawasan Komersial Fasa 3 in Taman Seri Gombak, here tonight.

The event held together with the Malaysia Madani Aidilfitri Open House ran from 8pm to 11pm.

In attendance were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Also present were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari and wife, Datin Seri Masdiana Muhamad, Cabinet ministers and state executive councillors.

A total of 29 food stalls with over 42 delicacies were offered, including lemang daun lerek, ketupat, rendang, satay, kambing golek, kuih muih, fruits and a variety of beverages.

The guests were also entertained by live performances by local artists Dato’ M Nasir, Dayang Nurfaizah and Pija Mentor.

The JKSA open houses were held for three consecutive days every week since the month of Syawal began.

The first series was held on April 28 in Sepang, followed by Hulu Selangor, Klang, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat, Petaling, Sabak Bernam and Kuala Selangor.
