KLANG, May 11 — Members of the public are invited to participate in the 2023 Sentosa Fun Walk Clean and Green event organised by the Sentosa state constituency, which falls on this Sunday (May 14).

Its state assemblyman Dr G Gunaraj said the programme, which aims to attract up to 500 participants, will start at 7am at Tasik Bandar Botanik.

“The event is open to people of all ages, and parents can bring their children to join the fun walk while doing environment-related activities.

“It also seeks to educate the public on the importance of caring for one’s health, as well as testing their minds with a number of quizzes prepared at each checkpoint,” he said.

Dr Gunaraj was speaking at the press conference launching the 2023 Sentosa Fun Walk Clean and Green event, at his community service centre yesterday.

Those interested in the event may register at https://bit.ly/RegFunWalkPublic, with the closing date by tomorrow (May 12). Early participants will receive a t-shirt.

“For those who are unable to register online, they can still come on Sunday to participate, but will not receive a t-shirt.

“I encourage members of the public, especially Sentosa residents, to bring their families or friends and join the activity this weekend as there are many exciting prizes waiting for them,” he said.

The assemblyman also encouraged visitors to bring worn items that can be recycled, with those managing to collect three kilogrammes standing a chance to participate in a lucky draw.

The programme will feature a variety of interesting activities, including Zumba, tree planting, basketball, as well as registration counters for Iltizam Selangor Penyayang and Skim Mesra Usia Emas.
