SABAK BERNAM, May 13 — Selangor has received an additional RM2 million allocation to fund the efforts of repairing village roads throughout the state, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
Announcing the matter, he said the majority of the roads that have been identified for repairs are located in and around Sabak Bernam.
“I have just received permission from the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.
“An additional RM2 million allocation to repair village roads that are related to Selangor’s plantations and farms,” Amirudin said during the Jelajah Kita Selangor Aidilfitri open house yesterday night.
The state government has spent RM50 million on a mega road paving project, encompassing the maintenance and widening of state-run roads.
The Menteri Besar encouraged members of the public to report damaged roads in their state constituencies via Twitter by sending pictures, writing complaints and including the #infrasel #daerah #namajalan hashtags.
From 2021 until last year, state road maintenance company Infrasel Sdn Bhd (Infrasel) has carried out over 39,000 road paving works to ensure the comfort and safety of its users.
