KDEBWM: 36,800 waste disposal complaints via i-Clean Selangor resolved in 2022

SHAH ALAM, June 22 — The complaint application for waste disposal developed by KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) has since recorded about 100,000 active users.

Its Corporate Communication assistant general manager Mahfuzah Muhammad Tarmidi said that the i-Clean Selangor app recorded an increase in complaints resolved, with over 36,800 cases completed in 2022 compared to 30,949 in 2021.

She said the latest statistics as of May 30 show that KDEBWM has resolved 14,718 complaints related to solid waste collection.

“The cases resolved involve domestic collection services and public cleaning in 12 administrative areas in Selangor,” she said when contacted.

Mahfuzah added that each complaint received would be directed to the Local Complaint Centre officers before being brought to the branch operations chief and site supervisor for further action.

i-Clean Selangor has operated since 2016 and facilitates the public to report solid waste collection complaints and access online services.

On November 18, 2021, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the application allows residents to submit complaints in their areas and request bulk waste disposal services.

The application is available for download via Google Play and the App Store.

Public complaints can also be channelled to the KDEBWM customer service at 1-800-88-2824/019-375 9592 or WhatsApp (019-2742824).
