SHAH ALAM, July 12 — A total of RM500,000 has been allocated to pave 11 roads in the Sementa state constituency, under Projek Selangor Penyayang (PSP).

Sementa’s coordinator Afrishah Azizi said the repair works are expected to be completed by the end of this month, with the aim of providing comfort to local residents and regular users.

“We are focusing on roads which are often used by the community but are dilapidated, which can be a threat to everyone’s safety.

“At present, we are paving the road in Tok Muda, Kapar which is the link to Sungai Serdang. In addition, we are also paving roads around school areas and cemeteries,” she told SelangorKini yesterday.

Afrishah said alongside the road paving work, the drainage system is also being monitored to ensure there are no blocked drains, so as to prevent flooding.

“If a drain is found to be in an unsatisfactory condition, we will inform the relevant parties so action can be taken,” she said.

During the tabling of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25 last year, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that RM28 million will be allocated to PSP, as part of the efforts to stimulate the local economy by providing small projects for the benefit of the local residents.

Priority be given to infrastructure maintenance and upgrading projects, as well as the development of government public facilities, particularly those without annual maintenance allocations.
