SHAH ALAM, Aug 6 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has dismissed Selangor Perikatan Nasional (PN) manifesto for the state election, which was announced on Friday (August 4) as an imitation of Pakatan Harapan’s own.
The Selangor Harapan chairman said PN’s manifesto was virtually the same, with only the figures presented within altered.
“I have not directly seen the manifesto, but from what I gathered, it is little more than a copy-and-paste, with different numbers.
“For example, we (Harapan) have the Bantuan Kehidupan Sejahtera Selangor (Bingkas) at RM300, so they raised it to RM400. On welfare, when an imam’s salary is RM1,600, they offer it at RM1,700.
“It is copy-pasting, and in this case, the copy is worse than the original,” he said during a press conference after officiating the Miti Day 2023 (Selangor) at Dewan Raja Muda Musa yesterday.
On Friday, PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced the coalition’s manifesto, themed Selangor Baharu, Kita Bangkit, with a RM2 billion stimulus package for the state.
On Monday (July 31), Amirudin launched the Tawaran Kita Selangor manifesto, encompassing various crucial sectors to boost the existing drive towards progress.
Some of the Harapan manifesto’s contents, consisting of five cores, were already implemented during the Menteri Besar’s administration, while others included in the First Selangor Plan (RS-1).
