Ship repair specialist MHB appoints Mohammad Suhaimi as new chairman

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MHB) has appointed Mohammad Suhaimi Mohd Yasin as its new independent and non-executive chairman, effective today.

Mohammad Suhaimi, 63, is currently an independent non-executive director as well as a board sustainability and risk committee member of MISC Bhd. He is also an advisor of SC Tubular Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said he previously served as an independent non-executive director and risk management committee chairman of Alam Maritim Resources Bhd.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University in the United States.
