Selangor Sultan presents over RM4 mln aid to Palestine Musa’adah fund

SHAH ALAM, Nov 24 — The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj handed over donations totalling RM4,374,280.63 to the Palestine Musa’adah Fund of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) today.

His Royal Highness said the donations were collected from mosques and suraus throughout the state.

“I pray that God will reward the infaq contributed by the people of Selangor to help Muslims in Palestine,” said the Sultan said in a statement issued by Istana Alam Shah.

His Royal Highness also ordered that the collection and distribution of contributions from the people of Selangor be made and coordinated through the Tabung Infak Jariah Umat Islam Selangor (Tijari).

Sultan Sharafuddin also prayed that Allah would protect the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine so Muslims could perform prayers and acts of worship in peace.

“I also pray that Allah will give victory to the fighters of the Palestinian people to eliminate the tyranny of the Zionist regime and restore their rights and create a free, independent, and sovereign Palestinian state,” said His Royal Highness.
