Taman Templer to use DRT services

By Siti Rohaizah Zainal

SHAH ALAM, Nov 10 — The Taman Templer state constituency will soon implement Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) services to facilitate its residents’ movement in areas far from public transportation access.

Its state assemblyman, Anfaal Saari, said the service, which uses the Kumpool app, can streamline residents’ travel plans.

“For now, there are shuttle buses, but they do not cover all routes. This poses difficulties for residents who must commute to work, as they might have to rely on ride-hailing services or family assistance.

“We are now reviewing the implementation process by looking at several other state constituencies which are currently using DRT,” she told SelangorKini.

The Kumpool Ride service was introduced to alleviate traffic congestion and parking issues, offering convenient, comfortable, and safe transportation for a flat rate of RM1 daily, available from 8am to 8pm.

Several state constituencies, including Subang Jaya, Kampung Tunku, and Bukit Gasing, already utilise Kumpool Ride.

The service covers over 200 stops, including bus stations, LRT stations, and densely populated residential areas. The Kumpool Ride app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or the Google PlayStore.
