SHAH ALAM, Jan 17 — Taman Templer assemblyman Anfaal Saari is allocating RM500,000 this year to be channelled to various institutions for the implementation of community activities.

Anfaal, who is also state executive councillor for women empowerment and welfare, said the funds will be distributed to non-governmental organisations, surau, and associations that have applied through the Taman Templer community service centre.

The distribution will be done in stages, she added.

“We will be issuing the checks to them, and it is my hope that this will be able to help them enhance community activities in Taman Templer,” she said when contacted.

Anfaal added that her officer has also provided financial assistance yesterday to eight families that were victims of a recent fire and another family affected by a storm.

“Each family received an immediate financial aid of RM500. Hopefully, this contribution can alleviate their financial burden,” she said.
