Central Zone Madani Rakyat programme to kick off tomorrow 

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 — The Central Zone Madani Rakyat programme, commencing at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex tomorrow, is set to be the best platform for disseminating new policies and initiatives introduced by the Unity Government.

The three-day event until Sunday, a continuation of the Madani government one year anniversary programme, will provide 163 services offered by federal, state and related government agencies.

With an aim to attract 100,000 visitors, the programme also provides the public with an opportunity to share their feedback to enhance service quality, thereby fostering stronger relationships in the effort to build a more prosperous nation in line with the Malaysia Madani agenda.

Featured services include traffic summons discount counters, registration booths for the Rahmah Cash Aid, and mobile services from the Road Transport Department, facilitating driver’s and vehicle license renewals and helmet exchanges.

There will also be Madani Mega Sales and Agro Madani Sales, government asset exhibitions, mobile services such as dental examinations and treatments, a blood donation campaign, recycling services, therapeutic massage and cosmetology services.

The Central Zone Madani Rakyat programme, which runs from 9am to 10pm, will also focus on activities related to agriculture and food security, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and social security networks.

The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry (KPKM), as the leading ministry of the programme, will also set up a special pavilion offering advisory services on various topics, including padi technology, aquaculture and vertical farming, besides organising a petting zoo for children.

Various facilities are available at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex to ensure visitor comfort, including parking areas, transportation facilities, prayer rooms, restrooms and dining areas.

The programme, organised by the Prime Minister’s Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit, KPKM and the Selangor state government, covers Selangor, Perak and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
