9,026 tabligh participants undergone Covid-19 screening

SHAH ALAM, March 26 — A total of 9,026 participants of the tabligh assembly at the Jamek Seri Petaling Mosque had undergone health checks, said Health Ministry.

The Ministry via its official Twitter account today said out of the total, 1,057 tabligh participants were tested positive for Covid-19, while 5,625 were tested negative and the remaining 2,704 are pending results.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador had on Wednesday said that police have formed a task force to track down the participants who have yet to undergo health checks.

He said as of now, 95 per cent of the tabligh participants have voluntarily come forward for Covid-19 screening.

The task force was formed in collaboration with the Health Ministry.

He said the remaining five per cent tabligh participants were still being tracked down.
