SHAH ALAM, May 15 — Selangor state executive councillor Ng Sze Han has been ordering food from several small and medium entrepreneurs to help the businesses earn some extra income and had the meals distributed to those in need.

The Selangor Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Committee chairman said the initiative through the Jemput Makan programme had started from May 12 until 22 and was carried out to help the small traders earn some pocket money during the conditional movement control order (CMCO).

“Every day, I would order and distribute around 300 meals to the people regardless of their race, but especially for those who are fasting.

“The meals are prepared by 20 different local small and medium businesses,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

Ng, who is also the Kinrara assemblyman, said the meals were also distributed to the residents from his constituency.
