Water supply restoration reached 460 areas — Air Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Oct 20 — A total of 460 areas or 36 per cent out of the 1,292 areas affected by the water cuts in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur have received full water supply as of noon today.

In a statement today, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said restoration process is still underway to the remaining 832 affected areas.

The percentage of the restoration in the seven affected districts are as follows; Hulu Selangor (88 per cent), Kuala Selangor (77 per cent), Gombak (42 per cent), Petaling (38 per cent), Klang/Shah Alam (7 per cent), while Kuala Langat and Kuala Lumpur are both still at zero per cent.

“Users are advised to leave their taps running until the water becomes clear before using it for their daily use,” the statement read, adding that the users are reminded to consume water wisely to ensure the restoration process at other affected areas runs smoothly.

Those who are still facing dry taps can get water at public hydrants and local service centres and are reminded to adhere to the standard operating procedure during the conditional movement control order (CMCO). Its locations are listed on www.airselangor.com.
