Air Selangor: Works to stabilise water pressure underway

By Sheeda Fathil

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — The scheduled pipe diversion and connection works near the Carlsberg brewery at Persiaran Selangor in Section 15, here, is now in the process of stabilising the water supply distribution system.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement informed that as of 6am today, there are still no areas in the Petaling, Klang and Shah Alam that have fully recovered.

“The duration of the disruption and the water supply recovery of the affected areas differ according to the distance of consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system,” said the statement.

Air Selangor said it would continue to inform the status of water supply from time to time through mass media, mobile application, social media and its website at www.airselangor.com.

On March 24, residents in 30 areas in Shah Alam, Klang and Petaling were asked to prepare for water supply disruption following the scheduled maintenance works.

Air Selangor said the 48-hour scheduled water supply disruption started at 9am yesterday and is expected to fully recover at the same time tomorrow.
