Selangor records 659 flood victims in seven temporary relief centres this morning

SHAH ALAM, Nov 13 —A total of 659 flood victims from 161 families in Selangor have been evacuated to seven temporary relief centres (PPS) as of 9.29am today.

According to the latest update on Info Bencana JKM website, the victims include 425 adults, 205 children and 29 babies.

The PPS involved in the evacuation processes are Sekolah Rendah Agama (SRA) Pekan Meru (145 victims), Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Sireh (12), SRA Pekan Meru (23), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Jeram (42), Dewan Orang Ramai Seri Harmoni (18) ad Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Yuk Chih Batang Berjuntai with 48 victims.

Meanwhile, some 2,677 victims have been affected in the floodings in seven states including Selangor, Johor, Kelantan, Penang, Melaka, Kedah and Perak.

Some 27 PPS have been opened to station 788 families throughout the country.
