SHAH ALAM, Dec 4 — A total of 25 volunteers from Team Selangor helped clean five houses that were affected by the recent flood in Kampung Cemperai, Dengkil today.

Its secretariat leader Syahaizel Keman said the houses were among the most badly hit and submerged in the floods.

“Kampung Cemperai, especially around the low-cost housing area, is situated in a low-lying area and nearby a river.

“In just one month, their houses were flooded three times, especially when heavy rains hit,” he told SelangorKini.

Syahaizel said the cleaning works were assisted by three members from the Persatuan Amal Kemanusiaan Malaysia and five representatives from the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) and the programme was concluded at 12pm.

He said Team Selangor also handed over food baskets to flood victims in two temporary relief centres in Bukit Changgang and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Dengkil.
