Hulu Selangor folks urged to combat dengue

SHAH ALAM, Jan 10 — The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) has urged the people to take care of their residential areas’ cleanliness following the rise in dengue fever cases in the district last week.

The local council said some 174 cases were traced at hotspot localities in Bukit Beruntung and Bandar Sentosa last week.

“There are seven dengue hotspot localities namely the Apartment Dahlia, Apartment Anggerik, Apartment Teratai, Apartemen Cempaka, Apartment Kenanga and Apartment Mawar.

“Let us combat Aedes mosquito breeding sites and keep our homes clean,” it said on Facebook today.

MPHS also informed that another 45 cases were reported in the controlled outbreak localities and no cases in uncontrolled outbreak localities in Hulu Selangor.

The current situation of the dengue cases and outbreak in Hulu Selangor from January 1 to January 7 was issued by the Hulu Selangor Health Promotion Unit on Facebook.
