Fun activities await visitors at MBSJ’s car-free day programme

SHAH ALAM, Jan 11 — Various interesting activities will be held during the Car Free Day @ Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya programme organised by the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) next month.

Its Mayor Dato’ Johary Anuar said the activities consist of ‘The Prince Criterium Development League’ bicycle tournament (six circuits) and 100 kilometer endurance cycling (50 laps x 2km).

He said the Push Bike Development Programme, busker competition and Subang Jaya Futsal Youth Development programme will also be organised.

“These activities are some of the improvements of the programme. In addition, several other activities will also be introduced this year, including running and leisure walking, archery, breakfast parties, cooking competitions and health screenings.

“MBSJ continues to be committed to providing a variety of healthy activities and inclusive infrastructure specifically for the community and society of this city,” said the Mayor during a live broadcast of the Subang Jaya Coffee Talk programme on the MBSJ Facebook yesterday.

MBSJ Car Free Day @ Selamat Pagi Subang Jaya which started in August 2022 is held on the first Sunday of every month.

The programme starts from 7am to 11 am and is held at Jalan Persiaran Kemajuan, opposite Subang Parade and Aeon Big shopping malls.

The programme is organised as an effort to make MBSJ a low-carbon city by 2030.
